If you're looking for a wonderful day out for the kids ( young and old), at Terrigal, on the NSW Central Coast, there's a little gem to discover. Central Coast Marine Discovery Centre is an important hub on the Central Coast that offers high quality innovative and interactive educational programs, activities and experiences and resources and greater awareness and appreciation of catchments, coasts and oceans within the community.

You'll see a collection of real shark jaws, some impressive turtle shells, weed sea dragon and mollusc specimens up close. 

Well worth a visit for budding marine and sea-loving activists.

PS: for mum and dad - there's a great coffee shop on the balcony and a park where the kids can run around as well. I highly recommend the muffins.
