Information for attendees of workshops

Workshop duration: 2-2.5 hours

Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to commencement. We will start promptly as it’s a big program. If you are running late, please sms Sue on 0411743015 and enter the room quietly.  

Participant numbers: maximum of 25 participants.

  • Adults: $75 incl GST
  • Youth: 7-16yrs $55 incl GST
  • School holiday sessions: $55 incl GST

 Adults-only groups

Sessions dedicated to adults is an opportunity for candid discussions about creative blocks and reigniting your creative spark. Recommended for people searching for some inspiration and guidance and strictly for participants over the age of 18yrs.

General, family friendly groups

  • Minimum age is 7yrs. Youth under 16yrs must be accompanied by an adult, who is also a participant.
  • General workshops are perfect for individuals and families. It’s so special, because as young people learn alongside adults. It’s a wonderful vibe and an opportunity for some intergenerational connection where everyone can participate as equals.
  • School holiday workshops - youth and adults are the same price.
  • Kids only sessions will be group bookings by organisations with teachers and parents providing supervision. These can be incursions or excursions. 


Booking with your $50 NSW Active and Creative Kids Vouchers

  1. Put your voucher number in the comments section alongside the name(s) of the child(ren) you’re paying for.
  2. Pay for the workshop as it will secure your tickets. When your valid voucher has been processed with Service NSW, you'll be refunded the value of the voucher(s) directly to your bank account. Any questions, please contact Sue.

Observational Illustration workshops

Most of what you need for this workshop is provided. You can also bring: 

  • Smart phone or tablet with data or ability to take photos and access internet if possible.
  • Pen for note taking.
  • A water bottle and/or your coffee
  • A3 Visual Art Diary – optional
  • Something from nature that inspires you.

    ANNANDALE Location:

    The Blue Room at Village Church, Cnr of Johnston & Booth Streets, Annandale NSW 2038

    Accessibility: There is no lift access to The Blue Room, which is up one flight of stairs. Future events may be held in a different room with access for people with disability and mobility issues. 

    Coffee shops and eateries: Plenty to choose from on both Booth and Johnstone Street, Annandale. You may bring coffee and snacks. Avoid bring large meals and absolutely no alcohol is permitted.

    Parking: All day street parking is usually available in surrounding streets in Annandale. Try behind the church in Annandale and Young Streets and Trafalgar Street on the other side of Johnston Street.

    Public Transport: Buses: The bus stop at Booth Street right outside the church. The 470 and 370 buses run between Leichhardt to the city and the Eastern Suburbs. Buses that run along Parramatta Road are a 12-minute walk along Johnston Street. 

    Light rail stops of Rozelle Bay and Stanmore train stations are further walk. Explore your public transport options https://transportnsw.info/

    Need to change your workshop date?

    •  If you need to transfer your booking to another date, please contact Sue. Transfers can happen no less than 24 hours before the commencement of the workshop.
    • No refunds will be offered for no-shows and cancellations if less than 24 hour’s notice.You MAY gift your workshop seat to someone else.
    • Workshops will run with a minimum number of 10 participants. You’ll be contacted a few days beforehand to discuss transferring to another session if we can’t run on your booked date.
    • You’ll receive a reminder email or sms 2 days before the workshop.

    This is the number 1 rule of the classroom. Respect for each other, our opinions and expressions is important.

    Shopping: If you'd like goodies from the Wildcard-Sue shop, add them to your shopping cart and collect at the workshop! At this stage, there may only be workshop associated products available for purchase on the day.
