Workshops have a new home at Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS).

The best creative and marine life education, my Observational Illustration and Marine Discovery workshops, just got fishier!

I am thrilled to announce that I will be offering workshops sessions for families and adults at the home of fish curiosity.

Introducing Sunday Sessions - Wildcard-Sue workshops at
Sydney Institute of Marine Science!

On the first Sunday of the month, you can join me for special small group workshops on the beautiful shore of Sydney Harbour at Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS) in Mosman (Sydney, NSW).

Wildcard-Sue +SIMS = Best, Best Fishes!

Partnering with SIMS is so welcome and a natural next-step for Wildcard-Sue's Creativity for Conservation and Education campaign. We now strengthen the natural fit with our work by bring creative and arts-based education to SIMS'  operational hub dedicated to research, conservation and learning.

This is a powerful way to lead change.

Having a place like SIMS, to host my workshops is a big deal for me. I've previously held workshops at libraries, schools, and 10 sessions in my living room! Now, I have bigger facilities in a more centrally located in Chowder Bay, Mosman.

I'm sure that being surrounded by marine inspiration and need for education and connection to other animals, will lead to new workshop topics! I also hope that to find a way to collaborate with other educators to develop some 'on land and in sea' experiences to complement my creative arts approach.

This creativity-lead learning and experience linked to marine research and science will help connect people in the wider community an authentic interest in nature, ocean, environment, and their creative self-expression and artistic skills.

Representatives from the SIMS team supported me with complementing my education display activation at Adex-OzTEK Australia at ICC Sydney (15-16 March).

The White's Seahorse education sheet was updated by the team, and featured at this premier Diving Conference. It was also part of the White's Seahorse education via events at Ocean Lover's Festival in Bondi.

This was a lovely community engagement opportunity and inviting SIMS along to talk to people about our local environment of Chowder Bay, the Sydney Seahorse Project and other conservation and research initiatives was really special.  We had a mini seahorse hotel and a living sea wall alongside my ocean clean-up display, my photography, original artworks and products.
